I was listening to a great speaker, who actually is really close to my age, but rocks harder than I do at preaching and communicating God's word. So I listen and I learn.
The talk he was giving that I was listening to involved loving God, loving self and loving others. How in the world do all those things work together.
I could go on about it, but there was a striking quote that rang in my ears from a man who I really do love. The quote from Augustine is this: "Love God and do what you will." It is really neat, because you can't do what you will and then love God. It doesn't work reversed.
And I love what this guy said about this quote. "Who He is is so wrapped up in who you are" Do what you will with the love for God. Love God first, then do what you will because if you really love God you are doing what God wants you to do.
Love God and do what you will.

Joy in Change
I've learned a lot from this election. I learned that a single opinion on a topic can turn a voter from one candidate to the next. I learned that some people just hate Democrats and some people just hate Republicans. I learned that some people don't care about Repubs or Demos but would rather vote for someone with the talent to make in impact in the world. I learned that your age may not determine your level of knowledge in regards to our world and that your age may determine your level of knowledge in regards to the world. I've learned that people love change and that people are desperate to change our world with first changing the other person in the room. I've learned that change is a big word everywhere in this world. I've learned that I love change.
I hope many of you spent some time watching the inauguration yesterday and took something out of this election experience. Change was going to happen nevertheless, but it should be a unique few years to come with President Obama. I am excited for change because my life is really changing soon and now.
God allows/calls us to restart, renew, repent from our previous ways. Do it today, He's forgiving, He's gracious, He's love. Invest some time in change.
